Parking Information
2024-2025 Student Parking Information
Parking permits will be issued to current juniors and seniors on July 31st from 9-12pm and August 2nd 1-4pm. There will be a $60 non-refundable charge for parking permits for the 2024-2025 school year.

Parking permits will only be issued to current juniors and seniors before the first day of school. Sophomores may purchase parking permits as spaces are available during normal school hours beginning August 9th. Please note: last year we had permits available well into February- do not worry if you cannot make the early dates.

Parking permits will not be issued until all fees/fines are paid in full. Please keep in mind, we will not be able to process any returns for books, equipment, etc. before August 9th. However, fees can be paid in order to obtain the parking permit and when school begins, items can be returned and a refund can be requested through the Financial Secretary.

Students must present a current copy of driver’s license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance. Expired documentation will not be accepted.

Parking permits must be affixed to the rear view mirror.

Brighton High School is not responsible for damage to vehicles or loss of stolen items. Park at your own risk.

All vehicles parked on the BHS campus are subject to search at any time.

Parking permits are required to park in the student parking lot, along Rox Cox Avenue and in the pool parking lot.

By purchasing a parking permit, students and parents agree to the following:
Parking Agreement:
“I understand that driving to school and parking on the school campus is a privilege and not a right. I will drive safely and responsibly, and I will not violate any school rules concerning vehicle parking or operation. I further understand that school officials have the right to suspend or revoke driving and/or parking privilege for violation of driving rules, school rules, or infractions. Parking in the student parking lot without a permit during school hours is prohibited.
Any vehicle parking without a permit and/or parking in staff, visitor, or designated handicapped parking during school hours is strictly prohibited and will be ticketed - $20 per incident and may be subject to being towed.”
Parking Rules:
- No reserved parking spots.

There are a limited number of parking permits available and will be on a first come, first served basis.

All students parking on campus must have a parking permit visible.

To get a permit you must bring your driver's license, car registration and proof of insurance. Each vehicle must be registered in the main office.

All vehicles parked on the BHS Campus (including along Ron Cox Avenue and the pool parking lot) are subject to search at any time.

Any car parked on campus can be ticketed for the following reasons and charged $20 per incident:

No valid parking permit/permit displayed

Parked in disabled person’s space without placard

Parked in a No Parking space/area

Parked in staff or visitor parking spot

Parked in 2 spaces or parked unsafely

Blocking access to driveways, doorways, hydrants, etc.

*Habitual violators will be towed at the owner's expense.
